Again, I Run

Again, I Run

Again I run through the wind
Gliding over my face and body
Again I run so blind into the future
Through days and through the nights
By the side of the road you wave
And so I keep on running
By the side of the road you wave
You ask me to pause
But yet I keep on running
Through the valleys so grand
Up mountains that stand
Again I keep on running
I run so fast I cannot see
I cannot see the hole
I trip I fall
I tear my skin
I bleed upon your ground
Again I keep on trying
I see you standing by my side
Your hands out reached to mine
I cannot stop or so I think
I try, I must keep crawling
Through dust and dirt
Across the gravel
Again I keep on crawling
You walk beside be and reach out
But yet I keep on crawling
Through time I heal
Again I walk
You ask I stop for rest
I feel the pull inside of me
Again I keep on walking
The rain it falls
I fall to sickness
You offer me some shelter
I look to you
And look away
Again I keep on walking
Down the alley
In the dark
Again I keep on walking
Out from the shadows
Rises evil, but I keep on walking
Surrounded now by enemies
They beat they rip they tear
I fall they kick till I bleed out
Again I keep on crawling
Maybe vision blurred
My senses fade
Now I can move no more
And then I wake
You by my side
I see what I've been yearning
I stay with you and fill my days

With what I was once searching
